Who would have thought it? The care and concern of the lawn at Central Park in New York City is greater than the concern for protester’s Free Speech rights granted in the United States Constitution.
A federal court judge ruled today that it wasn’t sure that the lawn would be safe if the 75,000 protesters that the anti-war ANSWER coalition and the National Council of Arab Americans were to use it, even though Central Park holds that many during many warm weather events. So, that means they can’t have a peaceful protest prior to the Republican National Convention. Nice, eh?
