After being denied a request to waste $2,000,000 on a private jet to be used by him (and prisoner transport), Alaska Governor Murkowski went to the legislature for $1,400,000 to lease a new jet. That was thrown out as well, and it’s common knowledge throughout the state (that is facing cuts just like every other state is) that Murkowski’s trying to waste money by doing this. Well now, Murkowski is coddling the Press, trying to get their approval through “positive stories” to get his jet — and explains that people really aren’t against the idea. Yet another Republican that doesn’t live in the same reality as the rest of us.
Hey Frank: You cut my mother’s longevity bonus – and you want to waste money on a jet that won’t land on 90% of the airfields in Alaska? Bonehead.
